Join us for the 2025 NNYG on April 15, 2025 starting at 4:00. NASA will kick us off and share how they support star knowledge and traditional Native perspectives and how they are supported in the NASA space program.
The full-day event will kick off at 9:30 on the 16th and highlight experiences from Native presenters and youth as they share how they have utilized the medicine wheel in supporting their well-being and academic success.
The annual Gathering provides Native youth an opportunity:
- To connect with their peers from across the state of Nebraska;
- To gain traditional Native knowledge, skills, and practices;
- To share personal experiences; and
- To consider future career and college opportunities.
The Nebraska Native Youth Gathering centers on the idea of honoring the Sacred Hoop – body, spirit, heart, and mind.
Sessions address each of these components, emphasizing the importance for youth to examine their higher selves through information, connections, and experiences shared during the Gathering.
